{"id":272767,"date":"2022-07-25T18:14:48","date_gmt":"2022-07-25T13:14:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/?p=272767"},"modified":"2022-07-26T10:16:59","modified_gmt":"2022-07-26T05:16:59","slug":"tom-sees-pakistan-as-one-of-the-most-welcoming-countries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/2022\/07\/tom-sees-pakistan-as-one-of-the-most-welcoming-countries\/","title":{"rendered":"Tom sees Pakistan as one of the most welcoming countries"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"width: 696px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-272767-1\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/World-First-Paragliding-Flight-aound-k2.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/World-First-Paragliding-Flight-aound-k2.mp4\">https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/World-First-Paragliding-Flight-aound-k2.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>ISLAMABAD, Jul 25 (APP): International professional paraglider pilot Tom de Dorlodot feels Pakistan was one of the most welcoming countries in the world with beautiful mountains, people and culture.<\/p>\n<p>No altitude record was set for paraglider pilots Tom and Horacio Llorens but they did fly past four of Pakistan\u2019s most spectacular peaks in a day in July.<\/p>\n<p>World\u2019s first Paragliding flight around K2 was in itself a milestone achieved by Tom and Horacio, who were Red Bull&#8217;s branded athletes.<\/p>\n<p>During July, they succeeded in making just over a dozen 100km flights with an average flight time of five to six hours, pioneering new lines where no one has flown a paraglider before.<\/p>\n<p>This was Tom\u2019s seventh paragliding adventure to Pakistan and he leaves with even more love for the country and people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe love the country, the mountains, the people and the culture. The real heroes are the high altitude porters and the people from the villages. They\u2019re so strong and welcoming. Pakistan is one of the most welcoming countries in the world,\u201d he said while sharing his experience about the expedition here at a local hotel on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Tom and Horacio were due to fly home after three weeks with their team mate R\u00e1mon Morillas but decided to stay on another week to try one last time for the 8,400m altitude record by flying above K2, which stands at 8,611m.<\/p>\n<p>The next goal of Tom and the team was to go through the footage they captured.
