{"id":27699,"date":"2017-05-06T13:15:29","date_gmt":"2017-05-06T13:15:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/?p=27699"},"modified":"2017-05-06T13:20:58","modified_gmt":"2017-05-06T13:20:58","slug":"pm-performs-ground-breaking-of-airport-metro-link","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/2017\/05\/pm-performs-ground-breaking-of-airport-metro-link\/","title":{"rendered":"PM performs ground breaking of airport Metro link"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"width: 696px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-27699-1\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/x-flv\" src=\"http:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/PM-Inaugurates-Metro-Project-From-Peshawar-More-to-New-Airport-06-05-2017.flv?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/PM-Inaugurates-Metro-Project-From-Peshawar-More-to-New-Airport-06-05-2017.flv\">http:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/PM-Inaugurates-Metro-Project-From-Peshawar-More-to-New-Airport-06-05-2017.flv<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>ISLAMABAD, May 6 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif<br \/>\nSaturday performed ground-breaking of the Metro Bus Link for<br \/>\nIslamabad\u2019s new international airport and said his government was<br \/>\ncommitted to timely completion of projects, while ensuring quality.<br \/>\nTalking to media, he said the Metro project was not part of<br \/>\nthe new Islamabad international airport, but was added on his<br \/>\ndirection.<br \/>\nHe said the project would complete simultaneously with the<br \/>\nairport and would be a great convenience for the middle class<br \/>\nand allow them quality air-conditioned transport service.<br \/>\nThe Prime Minister to a question said the quality of all<br \/>\nprojects were the hallmark of his Government.<br \/>\nHe mentioned the high quality construction of the Hazara<br \/>\nmotorway project and said there would be no compromise in any<br \/>\nproject.<br \/>\nHe said all ongoing projects were being completed in shortest<br \/>\npossible time.<br \/>\nThe Prime Minister also mentioned the Neelum Jhelum and<br \/>\nLowari tunnel projects that have been dragging on for years,<br \/>\nand added that his government was giving priority to mega<br \/>\ncommunications and infrastructure projects so as to encourage<br \/>\nforeign investors and speed up industrialisation.<br \/>\nHe said the people will get best possible facilities at<br \/>\ntheir doorsteps, once these projects complete.<br \/>\nThe Prime Minister directed that at no cost the quality<br \/>\nshould be compromised. He said the project must have the<br \/>\nquality of motorways for long lasting life.<br \/>\nWhen asked about those who were critical of the new roads,<br \/>\nthe Prime Minister said \u201cMay Allah show them right direction.\u201d<br \/>\nTo a question, he said his government, unlike the governments<br \/>\nin the past, believed in transparency.<br \/>\nHe said there have been mega corruption scams in the past<br \/>\nwhere huge natonal resources were wasted. He said all these<br \/>\nmatters would reach a logical conclusion.<br \/>\nShahid Ashraf Tarar Chairman NHA briefed the Prime Minister<br \/>\nand informed him that the project would be completed by August<br \/>\n14. He said the task was assigned on February 11 this year.<br \/>\nThe Rs 18 bln Metro Bus link will be completed by National<br \/>\nHighway Authority (NHA) in four Phases with a total length of<br \/>\ndedicated 25.6 Km, 09 Bus stations, 12 bridges and 11<br \/>\nunderpasses.<br \/>\nHe said the contractors have already mobilised equipment<br \/>\non site and work was going on, at a fast pace.<br \/>\nThe new Metro link is being constructed along the<br \/>\nten-lane wide Kashmir highway from Peshawar Morr to New<br \/>\nIslamabad International Airport.<br \/>\nAPP\/Ahsan<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, May 6 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Saturday performed ground-breaking of the Metro Bus Link for Islamabad\u2019s new international airport and said his government was committed to timely completion of projects, while ensuring quality.
