Talking to newsmen while inaugurating media science exhibition of
\nSZABIST University here on Tuesday, she said that terrorism badly
\naffected the country’s national narrative and it is time to revive our cultural, tourism, heritage and sports activities.<\/p>\n
The minister said that teachers, media and other stakeholders should
\nplay their role in this regard.
\nMarriyum Aurangzeb said that the country on the occasion of 70th
\nIndependence Day should resolve to strengthen national identity.<\/p>\n
The Minister said that the government is working for preservation and
\npromotion of national heritage of the country.<\/p>\n
She said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor is an opportunity to
\ntake the country to new heights of progress and development. She said
\nit is not only a route but will connect national heritage and Pakistani
\nculture to the world. She said that CPEC will secure the future of our
\nyouth.<\/p>\n
She said that role of media is very important to highlight Pakistani
\ntradition and cultural to the world.<\/p>\n
She acknowledged that media played key role in the war of terrorism.<\/p>\n
The Minister said promotion of literary and cultural heritage has
\nbecome the need of the hour as it is the best way to eliminate
\nintolerance and extremism from the society.<\/p>\n
She said this year marks the 70th birth anniversary of our country for
\nwhich the Government is implementing a comprehensive plan based on
\npromotion of our national narrative that had faded away due to
\nextremism and terrorism.<\/p>\n
She said in the past little attention has been paid to children
\nfriendly content on media which led to a dearth of knowledge in our
\nchildren.<\/p>\n
Marriyum Aurangzeb said the incumbent Government is laying special
\nemphasis on inculcating our cultural and literary heritage in the
\nyouth. She said Pakistan is the land of diverse culture and valiant people
\nwho have courageously fought the menace of terrorism over the years.<\/p>\n
The Minister said the security situation in the country has improved
\nsignificantly during the last four years due to prudent policies of
\nthe Government and sacrifices of the country’s\u00a0 Armed Forces.<\/p>\n
