{"id":28844,"date":"2017-05-23T15:12:34","date_gmt":"2017-05-23T15:12:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/?p=28844"},"modified":"2017-05-23T15:12:34","modified_gmt":"2017-05-23T15:12:34","slug":"quran-sunnah-promotes-peace-in-society-first-lady","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/2017\/05\/quran-sunnah-promotes-peace-in-society-first-lady\/","title":{"rendered":"Quran, Sunnah promotes peace in society: First Lady"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"width: 696px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-28844-1\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/x-flv\" src=\"http:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/First-Lady-chief-guest-at-function-23.05.2017.flv?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/First-Lady-chief-guest-at-function-23.05.2017.flv\">http:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/First-Lady-chief-guest-at-function-23.05.2017.flv<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>ISLAMABAD, May 23 (APP): First Lady Begum Mehmooda Mamnoon Hussain Tuesday said by following the true spirit and teachings of Quran and Sunnah, peace and harmony can be promoted in the society.<br \/>\nShe was addressing the closing ceremony of courses \u2018Memorization<br \/>\nand Recitation of Holy Quran\u2019 here at Faisal Masjid Campus of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI).<br \/>\nRector IIUI Dr Masoom Yasinzai, President IIUI Dr Ahmad Yousif Al<br \/>\nDraiweesh and senior officials were present.<br \/>\nBegum Mehmooda said recitation and memorization of Holy Quran is a<br \/>\nblessing which has been repeatedly emphasized in the teachings of both Quran and Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).<br \/>\nShe noted with appreciation that Darul Muneera of IIUI was rendering<br \/>\nvaluable services in imparting Quranic and Islamic teachings and expressed satisfaction that not only Pakistani female students but also students from abroad were acquiring education in Islamic teachings.<br \/>\nShe emphasized that ills and problems in society could be eradicated<br \/>\nby promoting Quranic education and stressed that the Holy Quran should be read with translation to fully comprehend the message and meaning in order to shape lives accordingly.<br \/>\nBegum Mehmooda Mamnoon Hussain said youth of Muslim world should<br \/>\nbe nurtured as per teachings of Holy Quran and they should not be dissociated from true message of Islam, which is peace.<br \/>\nShe regarded universities as the places which can help the Muslims to<br \/>\ndeal with contemporary challenges and said violence and terrorism had nothing to do with Islam.<br \/>\nShe said IIUI had been playing a pivotal role in promotion of Islamic<br \/>\nvalues and spreading the Islam\u2019s message of peace and peaceful coexistence.<br \/>\nShe commended Women Campus of IIUI for establishing a golden tradition by imparting education in the teachings of Holy Quran adding that this would inculcate the true message of Islam in the coming generations.<br \/>\nBegum Mehmooda congratulated the female students on completing their Quranic courses and hoped that they would effectively contribute in building a progressive society by disseminating the true teachings of Islam.<br \/>\nShe also gave away shields to students who successfully completed<br \/>\ntheir Quranic courses in Darul Muneera.<br \/>\nThe students who were given shields include Hafsa Bibi, Zoya Iqbal,<br \/>\nAyesha Siddique, Fatima Ismail, Maria Kiran and Saira Imtiaz Malik.<br \/>\nThe teachers who were given shields include Saba Rehman, Nimra<br \/>\nSultana, Marium Anwar, Faiza Anwar, Rehana Majeed and Shafqat Hakeem.<br \/>\nAPP\/Ahsan<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, May 23 (APP): First Lady Begum Mehmooda Mamnoon Hussain Tuesday said by following the true spirit and teachings of Quran and Sunnah, peace and harmony can be promoted in the society.
