{"id":36121,"date":"2017-09-22T19:10:49","date_gmt":"2017-09-22T19:10:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/?p=36121"},"modified":"2017-09-22T19:10:49","modified_gmt":"2017-09-22T19:10:49","slug":"president-urges-corporate-sector-to-help-uplift-education-sector-to-modern-trends","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/2017\/09\/president-urges-corporate-sector-to-help-uplift-education-sector-to-modern-trends\/","title":{"rendered":"President urges corporate sector to help uplift education sector to modern trends"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"width: 640px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-36121-1\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"http:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/President-chief-guest-at-Alumni-Reunion-Islamabad-22-09-17.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/President-chief-guest-at-Alumni-Reunion-Islamabad-22-09-17.mp4\">http:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/President-chief-guest-at-Alumni-Reunion-Islamabad-22-09-17.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>ISLAMABAD, Sep 22 (APP): President Mamnoon Hussain<br \/>\nFriday emphasized the corporate sector to strive for bringing<br \/>\nthe education sector at par with modern trends by exploiting<br \/>\nits experiences and observations besides urging the<br \/>\nuniversities to focus on the applied research to achieve real<br \/>\nprogress.<br \/>\nThe president said this addressing a dinner reception<br \/>\nhosted in honour of the Institute of Business Administration<br \/>\n(IBA) Alumni of Islamabad chapter here held at the Presidency.<br \/>\nGovernor Sindh, also the patron of IBA Muhammad Zubair,<br \/>\nDean and Director Institute of Business Administration Dr<br \/>\nFarrukh Iqbal and Member Board of Governors Shahid Shafiq also<br \/>\naddressed the reception and shared their experiences and<br \/>\ngoals.<br \/>\nThe president, also the alumni of the very renowned<br \/>\neducational institute, viewed that the corporate sector<br \/>\nusually remained linked with the world as part of their<br \/>\nprofessional engagements.<br \/>\nHe hoped that the said sector would set a tradition of<br \/>\ncreating awareness among their alma mater as well as other<br \/>\neducational institutes taking the advantage of their<br \/>\nexperiences and knowledge to train the young generation.<br \/>\nHe observed that the basic cause of deterioration in<br \/>\nvarious sectors was to bank upon the foreign researches<br \/>\ninstead of focusing the applied research in local<br \/>\nuniversities.<br \/>\nThe president viewed that every nation carries out<br \/>\nresearch works according to its goals and conditions, and<br \/>\ntheir adoption by any other nation in toto begets problems.<br \/>\nHe said usually, the method of trial and error was<br \/>\nadopted which also did not always worked well, he added.<br \/>\nHe was of the view that the changes to be occurred in<br \/>\nthe fields of industry, trade and technology after the<br \/>\noperationalization of China Pakistan Economic Corridor could<br \/>\nonly be tackled through research.<br \/>\nThe president hoped that the educational institutes<br \/>\nwould create an atmosphere of education and research to play<br \/>\na vibrant role in the society.<br \/>\nHe advised the universities and educational institutes<br \/>\nto also create a cultural atmosphere to guide the nation in<br \/>\npolitical, social and economic issues. This would help all the<br \/>\nsections of society to join the course of national development<br \/>\nwithout being the victim of different crises.<br \/>\nPresident Mamnoon told the gathering that the atmosphere<br \/>\nin the educational institutes had been different when he was<br \/>\na student as there had been a harmony among the teachers and<br \/>\nstudents. The students used to respect their teachers<br \/>\nwholeheartedly considering him as his real sage.<br \/>\nThe president observed that the standard of higher<br \/>\neducation had improved in Pakistan during last few decades as<br \/>\npreviously the country had very few institutes like IBA but<br \/>\nnow it was rich of a plenty of higher educational institutes.<br \/>\nHe said besides modern sciences, strong traditions would<br \/>\nalso help promote educational institutes as well as the<br \/>\neducational process and the role of alumni was crucial in this<br \/>\nregard.<br \/>\nPresident Mamnoon hoped that our educational institutes<br \/>\nwould fulfill this national need and his alma mater would also<br \/>\nplay no lesser role in this regard.<br \/>\nLater, the president gave away souvenirs to Governor<br \/>\nSindh, Dean IBA and others.
