{"id":36625,"date":"2017-10-02T18:42:30","date_gmt":"2017-10-02T18:42:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/?p=36625"},"modified":"2017-10-02T19:03:53","modified_gmt":"2017-10-02T19:03:53","slug":"hearing-of-references-against-sharif-family-members-adjourned-till-oct-9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/2017\/10\/hearing-of-references-against-sharif-family-members-adjourned-till-oct-9\/","title":{"rendered":"Hearing of references against Sharif family members adjourned till Oct 9"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"width: 640px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-36625-1\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"http:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/NAB-Reference-Case-02-10-17.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/NAB-Reference-Case-02-10-17.mp4\">http:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/NAB-Reference-Case-02-10-17.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>ISLAMABAD, Oct 2 (APP): The Islamabad Accountability Court on Monday adjourned<\/p>\n<p>hearing of references against Nawaz Sharif and his children till October 09 while<\/p>\n<p>issuing arrest warrants for Hassan, Hussain and Maryam Nawaz and Capt (R) Muhammad<\/p>\n<p>Safdar.<br \/>\nThe former prime minister appeared before the accountability court for the second<\/p>\n<p>time at judicial complex Islamabad.<br \/>\nThe court postponed indictment of Nawaz Sharif as other accused were not present.<br \/>\nAC Judge Muhammad Bashir took up for hearing three references against Sharif family<\/p>\n<p>members filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in compliance of Supreme<\/p>\n<p>Court orders in Panama papers case.<br \/>\nAs the hearing began, the court asked NAB prosecutor whether the other nominated<\/p>\n<p>persons in the case were produced after their arrest.<br \/>\nThe NAB official told the court that orders had been delivered to the security<\/p>\n<p>guard at the residence of Sharif family in Lahore.<br \/>\nThe security guard had informed that Nawaz Sharif\u2019s children including Hassan,<\/p>\n<p>Hussain, Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (R) Safdar were abroad due to ailment<\/p>\n<p>of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, he said. The NAB requested the court to issue non-bailable<\/p>\n<p>arrest warrants for the accused for skipping court proceeding for the third time.<br \/>\nOn the other hand, the counsel for the Sharif family members Khawaja Haris assured<\/p>\n<p>the court that former premier\u2019s children would appear before the court on next date<\/p>\n<p>of hearing.<br \/>\nHe requested the court to not issue non-bailable warrants for his clients.<br \/>\nAfter hearing the arguments, the court subsequently issued non-bailable arrest<\/p>\n<p>warrants for Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Nawaz and Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar while<\/p>\n<p>bailable arrest warrants for Maryam Nawaz.<br \/>\nThe court also decided that it will separate the proceeding against Muhammad Nawaz<\/p>\n<p>Sharif on next date of hearing if his children would again fail to appear before<\/p>\n<p>it.<br \/>\nIt may be mentioned here that Mr. Nawaz\u2019s counsel also submitted surety bonds worth<\/p>\n<p>Rs five million to ensure his client\u2019s attendance in court.<br \/>\nWhile an application by Nawaz Sharif for exemption from personal appearance in the<\/p>\n<p>court, could not be heard.<br \/>\nThe NAB had filed four references on September 8, against Sharif family members and<\/p>\n<p>Ishaq Dar on the orders of apex court.
