Pak High Commissioner Visits Shrine Of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia

ISLAMABAD, Jan 4 (APP):Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India, Sohail Mahmood on Thursday visited Dargah of Hazrat Khwaja Nizamuddin Aulia (RA) in New Delhi, where 714th Urs of the Sufi saint is currently underway.
The High Commissioner was received at the shrine by Sajjadah Nasheen Dewan Tahir Nizami, Dewan Musa Nizami and other members of the Dargah committee, a message received here said.
The High Commissioner laid the traditional Chaddar at the grave of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia on behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan.
The Urs of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia (RA), a 14th century Sufi saint of Chistia Order and one of the most famous Sufis in the world, is celebrated every year with traditional zeal and fervor, and is attended by devotees from different parts of the world, including Pakistan.
Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia (RA) was the third spiritual successor (Khalifa) of Hazrat Khwaja Moinduddin Chisti(RA), after Hazrat Qutbuddin Bakhtyar Kaki(RA) and Hazrat Fariduddin Ganjshakar(RA).
Speaking on the occasion, High Commissioner Sohail Mahmood said that Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia(RA) had been a tremendous source of spiritual nourishment for devotees for more than seven centuries and this process would go on forever.
Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia is known for his love for humanity as a means of realizing love with the Creator. His vision was marked by a highly evolved sense of religious pluralism, tolerance and harmony, the High Commissioner said and added that followers of Hazrat Nizamuddin were spread across South Asia, including Pakistan.
