JEDDAH (KSA) April 8 (APP): The General Assembly of Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF) on Monday had unanimously nominated Prince Abdul Aziz bin Turki Al Faisal as its new President.
In a press release issued by ISSF, the extraordinary meeting of the General Assembly was held in Jeddah in which delegates from 57 countries participated.
In his inaugural address to the assembly, the president assured to put his energy for the promotion of ISSF activities within Muslim countries.
“We will combine our efforts to improve the value of Sports for the achievement our goals and objectives” he said. He further stressed ISSF should be active, effective and chrismatic in its approach in terms of its programs and tournaments.
Prince Abdul Aziz was of the view that ISSF had to be creative for the goals.
He said future of the ISSF plan had to be aligned with improvement of the international sport through providing financial resources.
He went on to say ISSF would work strongly in enhancing tolerance, moderation and peaceful co-existence among the youth of Umma.
