Rs 6033.245 million allocated for SUPARCO in PSDP

ISLAMABAD, June 11 (APP): The government has allocated Rs 6033.245 million for various ongoing and new projects of Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for next fiscal year 2019-20.

According to the budgetary documents, an amount of Rs 4733.245 million has been earmarked for ongoing projects while Rs 1300 million for two new schemes in the PSDP 2019-20.

For ongoing schemes, the government has allocated Rs 4000 million for Establishment of Pakistan Space Centre (PSC) Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi, Rs 329.253 for Establishment of Space Applications Research Centre Gilgit Baltistan (SPARC_GB) and Rs. 403.992 for Pakistan Remote Sensing Satellite (PRSS) Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

For new schemes, a sum of Rs 100.000 million has been specified Feasibility and System Definition Study (FSDS) of Pakistan’s Optical Remote Sensing Satellite (PRSS-02) Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

Moreover, Rs 1200.00 has been allocated for Pakistan Multi-Mission Satellite (PakSat-MMI) Lahore and Karachi.
