PM launches National Incubation Center at Peshawar

PESHAWAR Jan 13 (APP): Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Saturday inaugurated the National Incubation Center (NIC) at Islamia College University Peshawar. Governor KPK iftikhar Hussain Jhagra, Advisor to PM Ameer Muqam, Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecom Anusha Rehman, Vice-Chancellor Islamiya College University Prof Dr .Habib Ahmad, Ignite CEO Yusuf Hussain, PTCL Chief Human Resources Officer Mazhar Hussain and others attended the ceremony.
Addressing the ceremony, the PM said the launch of another National Incubation Center after Islamabad/Lahore was a testament to the government’s resolve to bring a digital revolution in Pakistan.
This launch provides young entrepreneurs an opportunity to excel their business ambitions that are ready to make their mark on the world economy, PM said, and added IT ministry along with Ignite, Islamia College and other consortium partners will make the dream of youth a reality.
PTCL Chief Human Resources Officer Mazhar Hussain at this point of time said that this centre has been set up with the joint venture of Ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunication, Ignite, PTCL and LMKT.
Minister for IT also shared that her ministry was ready to promote public-private partnership for better opportunities with other IT Companies and for this purpose the incubation centre has to be equipped with modern IT infrastructure. By training one million youth online, we want to bridge the gap between academia and industry to make the degrees of youth dollar worthy, she added.
