ISLAMABAD, June 30 (APP): Federal Minister of Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Sunday said that Government of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf is taking serious steps to improve the socio-economic conditions of people of Pakistan and passage of Federal Budget is a major step in this regard. He expressed his views while addressing a press conference in Islamabad.
He also expressed that economic and other key indicators are moving in the positive direction which shows that policies of government have started yielding results.He also mentioned that economic support from Qatar and Saudi Arabia has started and it will put positive impact upon economy of Pakistan. “Government is now focusing on tax collection and documentation of the economy” he added.
Federal Minister said that the government is focusing on promotion of science in the country.The Minister said Pakistan has offered Afghanistan to set up a campus of COMSATS at Kandahar city of Afghanistan.” Afghanistan has also been offered a meteorology lab in Kabul for research purposes. He said a major breakthrough has been achieved in ties with both Afghanistan and USA which shows success of our foreign policy” he stated.
The Minister hoped that relations with India will also improve over the period of time.
He also criticized the role of opposition parties who are simply wasting time and energy of Pakistan nation by following the agenda of confusion and agitation.
