PSX sheds 164 points to close at 41,603 points

ISLAMABAD, Dec 18 (APP): Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Wednesday noted bearish trend as KSE 100 index closed at 41,603.71 points as compared to 41,768.66 points on the last working day with the negative change of 164.95points (0.39 %).

A total of 276,197,842 shares were traded compared to the trade 412,285,870 shares during the previous day, whereas the value of shares traded during the day stood at Rs 12.161 billion as compared to Rs 17.607 billion during last trading day.

Total 366 companies’ transacted shares in the Stock Market today, out of which 120 recorded gain and 220 sustained losses whereas the share price of 26 companies remained unchanged.

The three top traded companies were, Bank of Punjab with a volume of 15,979,500 shares and price per share of Rs 12.09, Unity Foods Ltd with a volume of 14,269,000 and price per share of Rs 15.15 and Fauji Foods Ltd with a volume of 13,237,500 and price per share of Rs 16.26.

Indus Dyeing recorded the maximum increase of Rs 22.50 per share, closing at Rs 564 while Indus Motor Company was runner up with the increase of Rs 20.43 per share, closing at Rs 1189.88.

Nestle Pakistan recorded maximum decrease of Rs 340 per share, closing at Rs 7860 whereas Philip Morris Pakistan decreases Rs 82.02 per share closing at Rs 2377.98.
