PSX sheds 65.20points to close at 42,561 points

ISLAMABAD, Jan 22 (APP): Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Wednesday noted bearish trend as KSE 100 index closed at 42,561.27 points as compared to 42,626.47 points on the last working day with the negative change of 65.20 points (0.15 %).

A total of 177,984,850 shares were traded compared to the trade 177,567,170 shares during the previous day, whereas the value of shares traded during the day stood at Rs 9.289 billion as compared to Rs 6.812 billion during last trading day.

Total 352 companies’ transacted shares in the Stock Market today, out of which 139 recorded gain and 189 sustained losses whereas the share price of 24 companies remained unchanged.

The three top traded companies were, Oil & Gas Development with a volume of 19,238,400 shares and price per share of Rs 143.89, Maple Leaf with a volume of 9,012,000 and price per share of Rs 22.25 and Unity Foods Ltd with a volume of 8,514,000 and price per share of Rs 14.51.

Gatron Industries recorded the maximum increase of Rs 22.93 per share, closing at Rs 499 while Mari Petroleum was runner up with the increase of Rs 15.84 per share, closing at Rs 1454.50.

Pak Tobacco recorded maximum decrease of Rs 79 per share, closing at Rs 2150 whereas Mehmood Tex decreases Rs 24 per share closing at Rs 417.
