President Alvi urges Sialkot exporters to focus on developing their own brands

SIALKOT, Feb 12 (APP):-:President Dr Arif Alvi on Wednesday urged the Sialkot exporters to focus on developing

and promoting their own brands in sports goods and surgical instruments which would

eventually open up a new era of exports promotion.

    Addressing the exporters at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), he

said that Sialkot exporters have great potential to explore and capture the untapped

international trade markets, adding the government had already focused on ‘ease of

doing business’ in the country. He vowed to continue the process of economic stability.

    President Alvi said the government would continue its economic development agenda

by taking the business community on board. He highlighted the government’s economic

development agenda.

      He said that Sialkot exporters were backbone of the national economy, as they had

been playing a pivotal role in strengthening the national economy by earning foreign

exchange to the tune of US$ 2 billion annually.

    The president said the government was fully aware of the problems of business community

and making all-out efforts to resolve them amicably.

     He said that major issues and problems were being resolved and redressed smoothly,

adding the government would not disappoint the nation in this regard.The continuity of

business-friendly policies was vital for national economic stability, development and

prosperity, he added.

Awan said that Sialkot exporters were playing their role for strengthening national economy.

    Lauding the unique export culture of Sialkot, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth

Affairs Usman Dar said that investment in the area would be encouraged to further enhance

exports.

    He said the government was fully aware of the problems of business community and
