SUKKUR, April 20 (APP): Mayor Sukkur, Barrister Arslan Islam Shaikh has paid rich tribute to front line soldiers fighting against COVID-19, while hoisting World’s largest White Flag on Walking Track Sukkur in honor of those frontline heroes who have been serving the country during this pandemic.
The Mayor Sukkur on Monday hoisted World’s Largest White Flag, contains 84×56 long with 50 kg weight on walking track Sukkur for paying tribute to those who played the role as front line nation’s Hero during the time of war against the Covid-19 without taking care of his/her own life also putting at great risk the life of family members. consisting Doctors, Medical / Paramedical Staff, Law Enforcement Agencies, Arm Forces, Rangers, Police, media personnel, municipal staff & others, he also presented Sindhi cultural Topi and Ajrak to them for the sake of motivation to them & passed the message that entire nation is unite and stands beside them shoulder to shoulder.
Speaking the Media, Mayor said Pakistan is developing country and the health system is not established enough to deal with the current pandemic and prevention is not possible without these National Heroes, Our Front line soldiers against COVID 19, he added.
Colonel Ikram, Pak Army, Rangers Wing Commander Sukkur Colonel Imran, DC Sukkur, Rana Adeel Tassawur, SSP Irfan Samo, Deputy Mayor Tarique Hussain Chohan, Municipal Commissioner Muhammad Ali Shaikh, MS Civil Hospital, doctors and others joined hand and participated in this occasion to tribute.
Social distance was ensured by adopting precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the Corona Virus during Flag Hoisting, while portable wash basins and sanitization walk through gates were also installed on walking track Sukkur.
Paying Tribute to Frontline Soldiers, Mayor Sukkur Barrister Arsalan praised by getting them into the confidence that all the Nation is standing beside them for their support, he said that you are our Real Heroes, the way you have been playing your role in the ongoing war against the Covid-19, taking at risk of you and your family lives is admirable and will create history in world. He also saluted to the front line soldiers against COVID-19.
It is mention over here that the biggest white flag of the world is hoisted on the 11th highest flag pole of the world, 8th highest flag pole of Asia and 2nd highest flag pole of Pakistan (after Wagha Border) with the height of 300 feet with Allah’s gold plated 3D name placed on top of flagpole
