ISLAMABAD Feb 06 (APP): Foreign Minister of Bahrain Calls on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif received Sheikh Khalid Bin Ahmad Al Khalifa, Foreign Minister of Kingdom of Bahrain at the PM House in Islamabad. The Foreign Minister is visiting with a high level government delegation that also includes members of the royal family of Bahrain. He conveyed the special greetings of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The visit by the Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid highlights the growing bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bahrain. He informed the Prime Minister that due that the relations between both countries have been upgraded to Joint Ministerial Commission and the first session of the JMC is being held in Islamabad later today in which both countries will have comprehensive discussions to expand diplomatic, economic, trade, strategic and cultural ties
The Prime Minister welcomed the important step of Establishing the Joint Ministerial Commission and said that this sends a strong message that Pakistan values its ties with Bahrain. The prime Minister also appreciated the performance Pakistan’s Ambassador Javed Malik, and expressed the confidence that relations will continue to grow between both sides.
He underscored the importance of expanding bilateral trade between both countries.
