ISLAMABAD, Feb 28 (APP): President of Iran Hassan Rouhani has arrived here at Benazir International Airport on Tuesday to attend the 13th Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) Summit here on March 1st.
The president was received by Minister for States Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Lt. Gen ® Abdul Qadir Baloch.
A smartly turned out contingent of armed forces presented him gourd of honour and a 21-gun salute.
The summit is already started here by the two days senior officials’ meeting from Sunday and Foreign Ministers’ meeting on Tuesday.
The theme of ECO summit is “Connectivity for Regional Prosperity.
The summit will deliberate and decide on ways and means to augment cooperation in the areas of connectivity, trade, energy, tourism, investment, industry, economic growth, productivity, social welfare and environment.
