PM visits the completed section of the Hazara E 35 Motorway project

Havelian, May 04 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif visited Havelian on Thursday and inspected the completed section of the Hazara E 35 Motorway project.

Later, briefing about the salient features of the Hazara Motorway Chairman National Highway Authority Shahid Ashraf Tarar said that the 59 kilometer Burhan-Havelian E 35 Motorway will be completed at a cost of 30 billion rupees.

He said that the project is an important part of China Pakistan Economic Corridor and will be completed with the cooperation of Asian Development Bank. The project will be completed by the end of this year. He said the motorway consists of six lanes.

The Chairman NHA said that in order to expedite the work the motorway has been divided into three sections. He said the first section from Burhan to Jarikas is 20.4 kilometers; the section two from Jarikas to Saray Salah is 19.2 kilometers while the length of the third section from Saray Salah to Havelian is 19.4 kilometers.

Shahid Ashraf Tarar said the E 35 Motorway will bring change in the lives of the local people and reduce the travel time between Islamabad and Havelian significantly.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister directed the concerned authorities to complete the project well in time. He said that no compromise will be made on the quality of the project.

Nawaz Sharif was also briefed that Lahore-Multan Motorway will be completed by August this year, Lahore-Sialkot Motorway in March next year, and Multan-Sukkur Motorway will be completed by August 2019, while a 280-kilometer long road from Hagla to Dera Ismail Khan will be constructed by next year.
