Rs811.788 million allocated for Ministry of Information, Broadcasting in PSDP 2017-2018

ISLAMABAD, May 26 (APP): Government has allocation Rs811.788 million allocated for different developmental projects of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
Rs637.000 million has been allocated for new schemes. Rs174.788 million has been allocated for ongoing schemes and Rs637 million for new schemes.
New schemes include channel ranking and Data centre, establishment of national Film Academy H-9 Islamabad, establishment of Sautul Quran Channel, institutional strengthening of PEMRA, Media Development of Code of Conduct, modernization of Cameras and production equipment PTV, Rebroadcast station Shangla, Rehabilitation of Medium Wave Services from Muzaffarabad and replacement of equipment of studio and control room PTV Academy.
It also includes replacement of medium wave transmitters at MirPur, security measures and revamping of news operation Islamabad and other provinces, up gradation of monitoring system of 250 TV channels, up gradation of production and transmission from PTV Home and up gradation of Radio station Multan.
