Pakistan to host two international Tennis events till December

ISLAMABAD, July 27 (APP): President Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Saleem Saifullah here on Thursday said that International Tennis Federation (ITF) will host two International events in Pakistan till December.
Addressing the Press Conference at Pakistan Tennis Federation along with Manager Training Centers and Events, International Tennis Federation’s (ITF) Frank Couraud, Salim Saifullah said that the event will commence in Lahore and Islamabad, both events will worth US $ 15,000/- each, out of which US $ 5000/- will be funded by ITF in accordance with tennis development fund, while rest will be afforded by PTF, said Salim Saifullah.
He said that the successfully organized “Davis Cup” has brought the confidence of ITF to hold international event in the Pakistan.
Praising the Pakistan top seeded player Aisam-ul-Haq he said, we need such passion,  Aisam raised Pakistani flag at international level and make the nation proud.
Speaking on the occasion, Frank Couraud said that Pakistan has immense talent in sports field. He said the ITF was trying to promote tennis at junior level and added that there should be centers in major cities of Pakistan for tennis activities and training.
He hoped his visit to Pakistan would be productive and ensured that the ITF would extend all kinds of support for promotion of tennis in Pakistan.

Frank said that he is very much optimistic regarding tennis future in Pakistan. He said ITF is keen to uplift tennis in Pakistan from grass-root level. Development and promotion of tennis at grass roots level is ITF’s outmost priority, he added.
