We are all set to serve pilgrims: Saudi Hajj Minister

Makkah al Mukarrama (KSA), August 06 (APP): Saudi Minister for Hajj and Umrah Dr Muhammad Saleh has said that all arrangements for Hajj 2019 have been completed.

Addressing to a press conference in a local hotel, the minister said Saudi government has made outstanding facilities for the pilgrims and it would render utmost efforts to provide best services to the pilgrims.

He informed media that the ministry, under the guiding principles of King Salman was engaged to set exemplary logistic and accommodation plans. He informed pilgrims movement during hajj from minnah to Arafat and Muzdalifah was not an easy task to manage. However he said thousands of personnel would be managing the movement of 20,000 buses along with pedestrians’ journey.

To a question, he informed there would be a smart Hajj in future in terms of utilisation and synchronisation of modern IT management.

Earlier in the day, he inaugurated the 44th edition of the Grand Hajj Symposium held under the title Coexistence and Tolerance of Islam, in the presence and participation of a group of scholars, writers and intellectuals from inside and outside the Kingdom.

He told the audience that symposium reflects the interest of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince in spreading tolerance, peace and amicability throughout the world.
