Kharalzad peace walk highlights Pakistan efforts for international peace and security: Dr Abdul Malik

WELLINGTON, Mar 18(APP): Aiming at paying tribute to Kharalzad Kasrat Rai, for successful completion of peace walk to mark first anniversary of Christchurch mosque shootings incident, High Commission of Pakistan organized a ceremony here on Wednesday.

Kharalzad Kasrat Rai’s had organized 350 km peace walk from Wellington to Christchurch (5 to 15 March 2020).  The walk aimed at sending a message of peace as well as to express solidarity on behalf of all Pakistanis with New Zealanders who suffered last year the worst terrorist attack on their soil.

Carrying a Pakistani banner Rai represented as harbinger of his country’s efforts for international peace and security.

Speaking at the ceremony the High Commissioner of Pakistan Dr Abdul Malik lauded the role and support of Pakistani community in New Zealand saying that the initiative of Rai could not have been possible without support from the.

He also acknowledged personal help and contribution made by Dr Zulfiqar Butt, Jameel Khan and his wife, Abu Baker, Imran Ch, and Qaiser for their valuable support to the cause, saying that it not only helped spreading a message of love and peace among New Zealanders but also contributed toward building a positive image of Pakistan in New Zealand as a peace-loving nation in the World.
