ISLAMABAD, Mar 01 (APP): President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov has arrived here to attend the 13th Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) Summit here on March 1st.
The president was received by Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resource Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
A smartly turned out contingent of armed forces presented him gourd of honour and a 21-gun salute.
The summit is already started here by the two days senior officials’ meeting from Sunday and Foreign Ministers’ meeting on Tuesday.
The theme of ECO summit is “Connectivity for Regional Prosperity.
The summit will deliberate and decide on ways and means to augment cooperation in the areas of connectivity, trade, energy, tourism, investment, industry, economic growth, productivity, social welfare and environment.
