ISLAMABAD Dec 25, (APP): Accepting request if detained RAW spy, Commander Kulbhushan Jadev to meet his family, Pakistan arranged his meeting in Foreign Office.
On Monday (today), Kulbhushan’s mother and wife arrived at Islamabad via Dubai. A 30 minutes scheduled meeting was arranged in Foreign Office which started 2:18pm. Spokesman Foreign Office Dr Faisal later in his media briefing informed that the duration of the meeting was further enhanced for ten minutes on special request by the RAW Spy.
Dr Faisal also informed that Pakistan wanted the wife and mother of Commander Jadhav to speak to the media, here in this hall, today. This would have included the Indian media, as well.
“We had formally proposed this to India. This was done in the spirit that Pakistan has nothing to hide and like all of you seeks answers to many questions that remain unanswered” he said.
However, the Indian side requested that they wanted to avoid media interaction.
Dr Faisal further reiterated that Pakistan permitted the request by India purely on humanitarian grounds. The visit was allowed in line with Islamic practices and teachings.
“Islam is the religion of peace and advocates mercy. It is a gesture of good faith and compassion. Commander Jadhav’s actions at Indian behest have deprived many mothers of their sons and daughters. Pakistan upholds the Islamic morals and values which teach mercy, grace and compassion for all” he said.
“Such decisions should serve as templates for others to follow, including in Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir where innocent blood continues to be spilled” Dr Faisal urged for continuation of generous response from Indian side as well.
Earlier, Jadev’s mother Avanti Jadev and wife Chetana Kulbhushan arrived at Foreign Office in high Security. Upon arrival both the ladies were accompanied by Deputy High Commissioner Of India in Pakistan, JP Sing. APP Hamza
