Dollar gains Rs 1.7 in interbank, closes at Rs 159.86

ISLAMABAD, July 15 (APP): The exchange rate of dollar jumped by Rs 1.7 in interbank and was traded at Rs 159.86 as compared with the last closing at Rs 158.79, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported on Monday.

However according to Forex association of Pakistan the buying and selling rates of dollar in open market were recorded at Rs 159.50 and Rs 160.50.

The SBP further reported that in interbank the price of Euro increased by Rs 1.46 and was traded at Rs 180.21 as compared with last closing at Rs 178.75.

However, the exchange rate of Japanese yen raised by 02 paisa after which it was traded at Rs 1.48 against Rs 1.46, whereas the increase of Rs 1.76 was witnessed in exchange rate of British Pound which was traded at Rs 200.70 as compared with last closing at Rs 198.94.

Moreover, the exchange rates of UAE Dirham and Saudi Riyal jumped by 29 paisa each after which they were traded at Rs 43.52 and Rs 42.62 against Rs 43.23 and Rs 42.33 respectively.
