Govt promotes Tele-medicine system: Governor Sarwar

SIALKOT, April 03 (APP):- Punjab Governor Ch.Muhammad Sarwar said that the government is promoting the Tele-medicine system for providing the online medical health services to the people by establishing the Telemedicine Helpline.

He stated this while addressing the participants through video link system after launching Telemedicine Help Line at Govt. Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot.

Punjab Governor’s Special Assistant Ch. Ansar Farooq, MS Govt. Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Dr. Javed was also parent in this ceremony.

Governor said that the Telemedicine system will also reduce the rush of the patients at the government hospitals as well. He said that it is the 22nd Telemedicine help line established at Govt. Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot.

Punjab Governor said that over 50,000 people have been benefited from this application in Pakistan.

Governor said that the government is establishing as many as 32 Telemedicine helplines across Punjab out of which 24 have yet been established. He said that as many as 5000 doctors and paramedics will provide 24/7 medical advises on calls to the people through this helpline as well

.He said that Pakistan is passing through very hard time due to Coronavirus dangers, social distancing and self isolation is vital for people to be safe and keep the others also safe from Coronavirus.

On this occasion, Punjab Governor’s Special Assistant Ch.Ansar Farooq highly hailed the frontline role of the doctors and the paramedics in battle against Coronavirus. He termed them as the national heroes.
