ISLAMABAD, March 21 (APP): Advisor to PM on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood here on Thursday said that Pakistan regards technology transfer and knowledge sharing partnership with Malaysia to increase its productivity, develop human resource and to open gateway to East Asian economies.

While addressing a press conference here at Board of Investment (BOI), the Advisor said that the companies of Pakistan and Malaysia are willing to sign joint ventures worth millions of dollars in telecom, technology, automobiles and Halal food sectors.

 He informed that the edotco will exchange memorandum of agreement with PMCL, Deodar Pvt Ltd, Telenor Pakistan and CMPAK. He told that edotco Group is the first and leading regional integrated telecommunications infrastructure Services Company in Asia, which specializes in end-to-end solutions in the tower service sector including co-location, build to suit energy, transmission, operations and maintenance.

Advisor on Commerce said Malaysia presents an opportunity to Pakistan to open up the Association of Southeast Nations (ASEAN) market for trade and investment through strategic partnerships. He further said that the ASEAN is a market of estimated 651 million people with approximate GDP 3 Trillion dollars and high human development index. . He announced that Pakistan is ready to tap into one the largest commercials hubs of the world.

Board of investment is conducting Pakistan Malaysia Investment Roundtable on March 22, tomorrow. The occasion will be graced by Prime Ministers of both countries.Moreover, the event will be attended by top business leaders as well as policymakers of both countries , including edotco Group, Proton Holdings, Petronas, Telenor, Zong , Mobilink, Alhaj FAW, Fauji Foods, etc.
