Noman Ahmed, Uzair Rehman bags Gold in 13th South Asian Games

ISLAMABAD, Dec 04 (APP): Noman Ahmed in Karate event and Uzair Rehman in 200 meter race won Gold Medal for Pakistan in 13th South Asian Games.

Pakistani Athletes showing good skills in ongoing 13th South Asian Games being held in Nepal, Green team is presently at 3rd position with 08 Gold, 15 Silver and 13 Bronze medals.

On the 4th day of the games, Noman Ahmed performed very well and won Gold medal in 50Kg Karate event. While Karate Team consisted of Nargis, Kulsoom, Sana Kausar and Sabira also clinched Gold medal. Kulsoom Hazara also won silver Medal in 55Kg Karate event.

Uzair Rehman also won Gold medal in 200 meter race by completing the distance in 21:15 seconds while Najma Perveen won Silver medal in 200m by completing the distance by 21.15 Seconds. Shams-ul-Haq won bronze medal in Discuss Throw Competition.

Pakistan Tennis Team consisted of Aisam ul Haq, Aqeel Khan, Muzamal Murtaza and Abid won the silver medal, while Sara Mansoor, Maheen Aftab, Sara Mansoor and Ushna Sohail won Bronze medal in Girls Team event.

In Taekwondo event, Sidra Batool grabbed Silver medal. Rabia Kabir won Bronze medal in 25 meter Pistol Individual Shooting event.
